# Airport status topic

> Stream one airport's complete status over the live WebSocket as observations, operations, and weather change.

Streams one airport's status. Each update's `data` is a complete status with the same fields as [Get airport status](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/airports/status.md); replace the previous one with it. ## Parameters

**facility\_id** `string` *required*

An airport `facility_id` from [List facilities](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/facilities/list.md). TRACON and center facilities are refused.

## Updates

The first update is the current status, sent right after `subscribed`. After that, a new status is sent:

* Each time an observation at the airport is created or updated.
* Each time `operations` and `weather` are recomputed: within 5 minutes when they change, and at least every 10 minutes otherwise.

Observations that age out of the 60-minute window do not cause an update; they are left out of the next one. Use `generated_at` to order updates and to ignore one older than a status you already have.

## Billing

Each status sent is charged as one `airport_status_update`, at \$1.50, including the first, which is charged when you subscribe. Subscribing again, including after a reconnect, charges a new first update. ## Refusals

The subscription is refused when `facility_id` is missing or not a uuid, is not a covered facility, or is not an airport; when the charge for the first update is refused; or when the airport status could not be loaded; retry that last case later.
