The Enhanced Radar API is pay as you go. Your organization adds funds in the [dashboard](https://api.enhancedradar.com), and each request or live update is charged for the data it returns. There is no subscription fee, and lookups such as listing facilities are free. [`GET /api/v0/pricing`](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/pricing) lists the current prices and any scheduled price changes, and is free to call. A first status whose `status` is `null` is free. | \$0.12 per status | | [`airport_status`](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/live/airport-status) | Each status sent, including the first, which is sent when you subscribe. | \$1.50 per status | | [`pireps`](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/live/pireps) | Each PIREP sent. | \$0.15 per PIREP | ## Free routes These routes are never charged: * [`GET /health`](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/health) * [`GET /api/v0/docs`](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/docs) * [`GET /api/v0/pricing`](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/pricing) * [`GET /api/v0/facilities`](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/facilities/list) * [`GET /api/v0/facilities/search`](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/facilities/search) * [`GET /api/v0/airlines`](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/airlines/list) A request that fails, such as one that returns `400`, `404`, or `5xx`, is not charged. ## Audio clips Audio links are priced in bands by how many your organization has been charged for in the calendar month (UTC), counting the clip itself. Each clip is charged at the price of the band its number falls in. The count starts again at 1 on the first of each month. | Clip number this month | Price per clip | | - | - | | 1 to 500 | \$0.02 | | 501 to 1,000 | \$0.05 | | 1,001 to 2,000 | \$0.13 | | 2,001 to 3,000 | \$0.35 | | 3,001 to 5,000 | \$0.90 | | 5,001 to 10,000 | \$2.30 | | 10,001 to 15,000 | \$6.00 | | 15,001 to 50,000 | \$15.50 | | 50,001 and up | \$40.00 | Every request for an audio link is charged, including a new link for a transmission whose earlier link expired. Account tiers also limit how many audio clips an organization can be charged for; see [Account tiers](#account-tiers). ## Answers [`POST /api/v0/answers`](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/answers/create) is charged \$0.01 for each record it reviews: transmissions, ADS-B positions, and FAA SWIM records. Each answer is charged for at least 300 records and at most its `record_limit`. `record_limit` is lowered to what your organization's balance covers. An answer that fails with `502` is not charged. ## Account tiers Each organization is in an account tier chosen by the age of its account and the total it has paid. Tiers do not change prices. They limit how much of an item an organization can be charged for; a request that would go over a limit returns `403`. | Tier | Applies when | Limits | | - | - | - | | `provisional` | Every new account | 500 audio clips over the life of the account | | `growth` | The account is at least 36 hours old and has paid at least \$1,000 in total | 10,000 audio clips over the life of the account | | `enterprise` | The account is at least 36 hours old and has paid at least \$50,000 in total | None | An organization is in the highest tier whose conditions it meets. [`GET /api/v0/pricing`](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/pricing) lists the tiers and their limits in `account_tiers`. ## Price changes A price change is announced ahead of time in `scheduled_prices` of [`GET /api/v0/pricing`](https://enhancedradar.com/docs/api/docs/api/api-reference/pricing), with the time it takes effect in `effective_at`. Until then, `current_prices` holds the price you are charged. A request is charged the price in effect when it is charged.
