Streams each new PIREP that matches a search, as soon as it is stored. It takes the same search as Search PIREPs and applies it to each new PIREP: the reporting aircraft must be inside the search area, and the report must match q the same way a search result does. See Connect for the message format.

Parameters

string
required
What you are looking for, e.g. turbulence, icing on descent, or wind shear on final.
number
required
Latitude of the center of the search area, in decimal degrees.
number
required
Longitude of the center of the search area, in decimal degrees.
number
required
Radius of the search area in nautical miles, 1 to 150. A PIREP is in the area when the reporting aircraft was.

Updates

Each update’s data has the same fields as one entry of pireps in Search PIREPs. search_score is the match’s relevance to q.
Use Search PIREPs for reports stored before the subscription started. A PIREP is usually stored a few minutes after it is heard, so updates arrive in the order PIREPs are stored, not the order they happened; use happened_at to order them.

Billing

Subscribing is free. Each PIREP sent is charged as one pirep, at $0.15. See Pricing and Billing.

Refusals

The subscription is refused when a required parameter is missing or a parameter is invalid, or when the search could not be prepared; retry later.
